René Locklear White (Feather) is the Native American Church of Virgina president.
She is a retired veteran and a full-time volunteer involved in a variety of community efforts: outreach, education, and spiritual mentoring. Her efforts help leaders, military veterans, artists of all ages and senior citizens.
René helps people seek better jobs for them and their families; helps give mom’s a break; helps care for the afflicted; encourages and offers resources to those who are seeking; and helps other non-profits, like the community center Barns of Rose Hill, Art in the Foothills, The Friends of Bluemont, Clarke County Memorial VFW Post 9760 and Shenandoah Area on Aging.

She is a certified volunteer Medicare counselor with the
Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) and founded & leads a Medicare Café in Northwestern Virginia.
René is an officer with the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, a life member of VFW Post 9760 and a life member of the Lumbee Warriors Association of Indian Veterans.
One word to describe René is, "resourceful." Her aim is to create something good for others and she hopes in some small way, help eliminate suffering in people and in the community, in the nation and in the world.
René is a follower of Jesus Christ as she walks her road of life in a good way.
